I wanted Andrew to have his own special bed and his favorite thing is playing with his wooden trains, so I came up with this sketch.
Fred thought it was a cute idea, so I made a model out of popsicle sticks and cardboard.
I showed my dad the drawing and model and he agreed to help me make it! He is the awesomest dad ever. This is the base of the bed.
After the first weekend, we had the top cut and assembled as well.
It even looks like a train! Then I sanded it and filled in the the cracks and screw holes with putty.
The next weekend, I put on the first few coats of paint.
