Train ride

Andrew wanted to go on a train ride today. We walked down to the station this morning and said hello to the Police Officers who were directing traffic around the road construction. One of them liked Star Wars and the other one used to work in my building! Then we walked down to the tracks and stopped to watch the diggers working on the train track. They are building a second rail and a new station.

We had to leap over wet paint, but we made it onto the train.

We bought a ticked and rode the train one stop. First, we went to the pizza store for some lunch.

When everyone was full, we walked down the street to the playground. We played in the sandbox, climbed all over the structures and swung on the swings. We all tried doing handstands out on the grass on the walk back from the bathroom.

I think the funnest thing at this playground are these twisty pedestals. There is a wheel mounted over head and if you swing your body just right, you can get spinning really fast. The boys like spinning on their tummies.

We stopped at the five and dime on the way home and I let them each pick out a small toy and a candy.

It was a fun day.
