Andrew had a Minecraft party for his 5th birthday party.
The dining room was decorated like a Minecraft world, with square trees and grass.
The snacks were sticks(pretzels), coal(black rice crispy treats), melon (watermelon), apples, carrot sticks, chocolate chip cookies, water (bottles in a silver bucket) and one of the cakes for decoration.
I put the pinata out for decoration on the table.
We started the party out letting each guest take a turn learning how to play Minecraft. Then, we played a pretend game of Minecraft where the kids gathered popsicle sticks from trees to craft a pickaxe. Then they found some coal in the cave and crafted a torch (flashlight). Next, they went down into the deep cave (the dark basement) and found 5 blocks of treasure which they traded in for candy and small prizes.
Then, back down in the basement, we set up a minecart racing track, pin the tail on the cow, a creeper decoration, a fishing game and small cube blocks 'hidden' all around.
All the minecarts set up, ready to decorate.
After square pizza, the kids had to craft the cake!
Happy Birthday Andrew!
